Q: Why are veterans, active duty, and National Guard men and women opposed to the war in Iraq?

The Iraq war is based on lies and deception.
The Bush Administration planned for an attack against Iraq before September 11th, 2001.
The Iraq war violates international law.
The United States
violated the same body of laws they accused Iraq of breaching.
Corporate profiteering is driving the war in Iraq.
The United States has chosen a path that directly contradicts President Eisenhower's farewell warning regarding the military industrial complex.
Overwhelming civilian casualties are a daily occurrence in Iraq.
Currently over 100 civilians die every day in Baghdad alone.
Soldiers have the right to refuse illegal war.
Service members are facing serious health consequences due to our Government's negligence.
The war in Iraq is tearing our families apart.
The Iraq war is robbing us of funding sorely needed here at home.
The war dehumanizes Iraqis and denies them their right to self-determination.

Why Eliot Spitzer Was Assassinated

Why Eliot Spitzer was assassinated

The predatory lending industry
has a partner in the White House

Mortaging America's future
for a quick buck

It's one of the most amazing displays of journalistic incompetence and malpractice in recent memory.

The US news media failed to draw the obvious connection between the bizarre federal law enforcement investigation and leak campaign about the private life of New York Governor Spitzer and Spitzer's all out attack on the Bush administration for its collusion with predatory lenders.

While the international credit system grinds to a halt because of a superabundance of bad mortgage loans made in the US, the news media failed to cover the details of Spitzer's public charges against the White House.

Yet when salacious details were leaked about alleged details of Spitzer's private life, they took that information and made it the front page news for days.

Should Followers of the Prince of Peace Be the Easiest to Convince to Go to War?

For you bear with anyone if he enslaves you, if he devours you, if he takes advantage of you, if he exalts himself, if he hits you in the face. 2 Cor 11:13-20

A Call to Lament and Repent: Guide Our Feet to the Path of Peace

This season of Lent, we are truly living "in darkness and in the shadow of death" as we mark, on March 19, 2008, the fifth anniversary of the war with Iraq. It is a war that is being waged by our country, financed by our taxes, and fought by our sisters and brothers. As U.S. Christians, we issue a call to the American church to lament and repent of the sin of this war.

We lament the suffering and violence in Iraq. ...

We lament the effects of this war on our country. ...

We repent of our failure to fully live the teaching of Jesus to be peacemakers. ...

We believe repentance means more than just being sorry. ...

We dedicate ourselves to the biblical vision of a world in which nations do not attempt to resolve international problems by waging war on other nations. ...

Medical system is leading cause of death and injury in US

"Certainly it would appear more urgent to investigate the rationale, efficacy and relative cost-effectiveness of pharmaceutical medicine than to legislate restrictive rules for supplements of vital nutrients, as most governments and some international organisations are doing in these times."
"A definitive review and close reading of medical peer-review journals, and government health statistics shows that American medicine frequently causes more harm than good. The number of people having in-hospital, adverse drug reactions (ADR) to prescribed medicine is 2.2 million. Dr. Richard Besser, of the CDC, in 1995, said the number of unnecessary antibiotics prescribed annually for viral infections was 20 million. Dr. Besser, in 2003, now refers to tens of millions of unnecessary antibiotics. The number of unnecessary medical and surgical procedures performed annually is 7.5 million. The number of people exposed to unnecessary hospitalization annually is 8.9 million. The total number of iatrogenic deaths shown in the following table is 783,936. It is evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the United States. The 2001 heart disease annual death rate is 699,697; the annual cancer death rate, 553,251.

Why I Choose Alternative Medicine for my Leukemia

clipped from radio.weblogs.com
It would be fair for one to ask why I am so willing to bet my life on  Alternative Health.

  1. I have a strong belief in the ability of my immune system to keep me healthy as long as I provide my body with the proper nutrients.
  2. I have a strong distrust for the conventional cancer treatments that are so invasive to the body.
  3. I have a strong distrust for the conventional cancer treatments that cause so much damage to the body.
  4. I have a strong distrust for the methodology that embraces denial of information to a cancer patient.
  5. I am a liberal at heart and I have a very strong distrust of the conventional medical paradigm that so callously denies services to the poor.
  6. I am very distrustful of the obscene emphasis placed on profits by the medical system.
  7. My initial results are very hearting and encourage me to carry on with my Alternative Health Care program.
  8. The leading cause of death in America is the medical system. Hellooooooooo? Is anybody home?
